The Empire State Scholastic Press Association and School Press Institute are organizations hosted by Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications that work to develop, enhance and grow scholastic journalism throughout New York state. The ESSPA Fall Conference is held every year in October and the SPI camp is annually in late July.
